Why Wait?

Moments buzz by like crowded city streets

Filled with faces back-lit by smiles we’d soon forget

And these conversations seem so familiar

If only we would remove the point from the tip

Take another sip, I promise we’ll find some other words

Now we're laughing by the sign post and the moon is jealous of the glow

Still by the end of it we’re trying to find where to begin

Please don’t wait for "that" day

Today was yesterday’s tomorrow

and it’s tomorrow’s yesterday

So say what you need to say

(say what you need to say)

Every moment lives in the past

as the second hand wastes away

So say what you need to say

I hope you find a way

(say what you need to say)

Hard charging down this lonely freeway

Has the night grown cold or is that simply our new shade?

Through the silent static I can hear you breathing

How did we get so used to this sad style of music?

Take another sip, I can promise it’ll help you forget

Another night by that back glow and your friends aren’t so jealous

Now at the end of it we’re trying to find where to begin

Please don’t wait for "that" day

Today was yesterday’s tomorrow

and it’s tomorrow’s yesterday

So say what you need to say

(say what you need to say)

Every moment lives in the past

as the second hand wastes away

So say what you need to say

I hope you find a way

(say what you need to say)

Moments buzz by like crowded city streets

And you shudder as you remember when

It could have been it

It could have been it

Please don’t wait for "that" day

Today was yesterday’s tomorrow

and it’s tomorrow’s yesterday

So say what you need to say

(say what you need to say)

Every moment lives in the past

as the second hand wastes away

So say what you need to say

I hope you find a way

(say what you need to say)
